ESA Expands Presence in Florida, Opening New Schools and Adding Programs for 2006-07 Academic Year
Posted on August 28, 2006Tampa, Fla., August 28, 2006 – Educational Services of America announced today that it plans to open or expand 14 new schools and programs in Florida for the 2006-07 academic year.
ESA, which is the nation’s leading private providers of special, alternative and post-secondary educational programs, said the expansion allows it to strengthen its presence in one of its primary markets. In addition to acquiring one school, ESA plans to open three new schools under its ESA Exceptional brand and add 10 new programs under its Spectrum Schools brand.
With these additions, ESA will manage more than 100 schools and programs in 16 states, including 26 schools in Florida.
“ESA programs resonate strongly with children and parents, said Mark Claypool, ESA founder and CEO. “We have been successful because we listen to parents and develop programs to meet their needs, rather than offering a one-size-fits-all solution.
“ESA is very much a change agent that is shaping the future of special education in this country. We are focused on children and hold high expectations for the success of each one of our students. This expansion will allow us to serve even more families across the state.
Based in Nashville, Tenn., ESA offers programs and services under four service divisions: ESA Exceptional Schools, Ombudsman Educational Services, College Living Experience and Spectrum Center Schools. For the 2006-07 academic year, ESA plans to:
