Master of Science in Public Health

Years teaching:

First year teaching

Area of specialty:

Science and health education

Why did you go into teaching?

I wanted to indulge my love of science and to give something back to the community.

Why did you choose special education?

The rewards of teaching special education children are multiplied because they face greater obstacles in learning. The look on their faces when they understand a new concept makes being a special education teacher really worthwhile.

What keeps you motivated?

My motivation is the looks on the faces of graduating seniors as they walk across the stage knowing they have accomplished something significant in their lives.
